Karnataka Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The state of Karnataka consists of a total of 28 Lok Sabha seats, which can play a major role in claiming majority in the upcoming elections, and with local parties JD(S) gaining the popularity in the recent times, national parties like BJP and Congress, need to put in a fair amount of work in order take the win in the state.
Karnataka being one of the fastest growing economies in the country because of its strong IT hub, makes it difficult for parties like BJP and INC, who are facing anti-incumbency situation in the state. The election results may be influenced by voters’ discontent with how things are being handled on subjects like corruption, unemployment, and inflation.
With a significant impact on both the state’s and the country’s political scene, the Karnataka elections of 2024 look to be a high-stakes contest. Karnataka is emerging as a major contest in the upcoming mega elections because of its intricate dynamics, and high stakes.
Karnataka usually gets their election schedule in the middle phases of the elections, which was also the case in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. However, in 2024 General Elections they will be rounding off their Lok Sabha polls in the first quarter itself. The dates for polling in the state are April 26 and May 7.

The Lok Sabha Elections in Karnataka are typically organised in two to three phases. In 2019, the mega elections in the state were held in two phases similarly, in 2024, Karnataka will be having their elections separated into two phases of 14 seats each.
The state of Karnataka has a total of 28 Lok Sabha constituencies making it one of the most important states during the General Elections. Out of the 28 Lok Sabha seats of Karnataka five seats are reserved for SC candidates, while two seats are reserved for ST candidates. During the 17th Lok Sabha Elections BJP-led NDA won a total of 26 seats out of which 25 was of BJP alone. The alliance of INC and JD(S), were only able to capture two seats.
