IPL 2024 Points Table

The 2024 season of the Indian Premier League will be the 17th edition of the IPL. In IPL 2024, 10 teams will be in the fray. Two teams — Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings — have won the title five times each. While MI’s last title came in 2020, CSK come into the 2024 edition as the reigning champions. Chennai also won the 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 titles while Mumbai were victors in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 besides 2020. Kolkata Knight Riders have won the title twice so far while Gujarat Titans have won the title once in their two seasons. Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad have also won the title one time each.

IPL 2024 will be played in a double round-robin format. Hence, each team will face other teams two times during the league stage. In the end, the top four teams in the points table will qualify for the playoffs.

The 2024 season of IPL will start from March 22 where Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The 2024 season will see plenty of intriguing narratives: like Dhoni leading the charge for CSK in what could be his last season; Rishabh Pant making his much-awaited return from injury for Delhi Capitals; Hardik Pandya taking over captaincy of the Mumbai Indians franchise from Rohit Sharma after MI acquired his services in the off-season from Gujarat Titans; and Shubman Gill taking over the reins of the Gujarat franchise.
