CBSE Class 12 Results Date: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today concluded the Class 12 exam. The board is likely to announce the results in mid-May. CBSE conducted Class 12 exams for over 15 lakh students.
Last year, the board conducted Class 12 exams from February 14 to April 5 and the results were declared on May 12. In 2022, the CBSE Class 12 exam was held in two terms – term-1 exam was held in November-December and the term-2 exam in May-June. The board declared the result only after consolidating the marks for both terms on July 22, 2022.
This year, CBSE Class 12 exam was held in India and 26 countries abroad.
In Class 12 exams last year, nearly 16.9 lakh students registered for the board exam out of which 87.33 per cent students qualified the exam. There has been a decline of 5.38 per cent from the previous year. Last year, as many as 1,12,838 students scored above 90 per cent marks and 22,622 of them scored above 95 per cent marks in CBSE Class 12 exams. The number of candidates placed in the compartment was 1,25,705.
The board, as a first, is considering Open Book Examinations (OBE) for students of Classes 9 to 12. The board has also proposed a pilot run of open-book tests in a few schools for English, mathematics and science for Classes 9 and 10 and English, mathematics and biology for Classes 11 and 12 later this year to evaluate the time taken by students to complete such tests and stakeholders’ response.
