It has been a few years since Apple refreshed the Beats Solo, and according to trusted sources, the company is now reported to have introduced the Beats Solo 4, featuring a USB-C charging port, 50 hours of battery life with a price tag of $199, suggests a report from 9to5Mac.
Apple announced the Beats Solo 3 back in 2016, and just a few months back, the company announced the Beats Studio Pro, its flagship headphones. With the upcoming variant, the company will be offering a new Beats headphone at a much lower price.
Apple is transitioning from Lightning to USB-C on iPhones and its accessories, and the upcoming Beats Solo 4 will also get the same treatment. Besides the USB-C port, the headphones will also have a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the retail package is likely to include a 3.5mm aux cable to enable users to physically connect the headphones to computers, smartphones, and other devices.
The Beats Solo 4 is said to offer features like spatial audio with dynamic head tracking. The headphones will be equipped with large 40mm transducers and are also said to include an upgraded beam-forming microphone, which will enhance call quality.
Compared to Solo 3, which offered up to 40 hours of battery life per charge, the upcoming Solo 4 is said to deliver up to 50 hours of battery life, and it is also said to support fast charging, where 10 minutes of charge time should deliver five hours of playback time.
In terms of connectivity, the Beats Solo 4 will offer the latest Bluetooth 5.3 and will be compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Apple has not launched any of the Beats headphones officially in India in the last few years, so the Solo 4 might not come to the Indian market.
