Daisy Shah recalls how Salman Khan helped her when she was stuck in US: ‘He arranged everything, he is very sweet’

Daisy Shah opened up about how Salman Khan's mentorship paved her way into the film industry and shared a heartwarming anecdote that showcased Salman's unwavering support for his friends.

Bollywood actor Daisy Shah made her big Bollywood debut with Salman Khan‘s Jai Ho in 2014. Before stepping into the limelight, Daisy worked as an assistant choreographer and a model. In a recent conversation, the actor opened up about how Salman’s mentorship paved her way into the film industry and shared a heartwarming anecdote that showcased Salman’s unwavering support for his friends.

When asked about Salman Khan’s demeanor and whether he’s strict, Daisy told Mirchi Plus, “He is not at all strict. He is very sweet. He is very helpful. If you are working with him he is the person you can go and talk to about everything.”

Salman Khan is renowned for fostering deep bonds within the film fraternity. When questioned if Salman stood by her during challenging times, Daisy recounted, “Once I went to US for some work and I was stuck there for something and I had to call him and he arranged everything for me. He called his friend to help me and his friend called me. He got me out of the situation. If you call him with any problem, if it is in his power, he will make sure that you are out of it.”

Revealing the one lesson she learned from Salman, the actor said, “He says that it is important to work on yourself, rest all can be managed. The biggest project you should work on should be yourself”. She added, “For me the biggest inspiration and the person whom I have learnt a lot from is Salman Khan. I can’t deny that. When he cast me for his film, he taught a lot about the life of an actor.”

Jai Ho, helmed by Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan, was also produced under the banner of Sohail Khan Productions. Alongside Salman and Daisy, the film featured Tabu, Danny Denzongpa, and Aditya Pancholi. The movie struck gold at the box office, raking in an impressive Rs 195 crore in India.
