Ahead of their Eid releases, Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan and Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starter Bade Miyan Chote Miyan have received their certification from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). Though both the films have gotten a U/A certificate, Ajay Devgn’s film has been passed with zero cuts. However, the examining committee has directed the makers of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s film to make some modifications.
As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC cleared Maidaan without a single cut. The makers have only been asked to add a disclaimer stating the film is a work of fiction and insert an anti-smoking ticker. CBFC also asked the Maidaan team to mention end credits in Hindi as well. Apart from all this, the film’s duration which is 3 hours 1 minute, and 30 seconds remains unchanged.
For Bade Miyan Chote Miyan the report in Bollywood Hungama states that the makers have been asked to blur visuals for 14 seconds in three scenes. At 57 minutes, a scene has been cut by 25 percent, however, there is no clarity of whether these 19 seconds were reduced due to violence or intimacy present in the scene. The name of a brand has also been replaced in the Akshay Kumar starrer. Other changes include adding a disclaimer for liquor consumption and submitting a letter to CBFC for using symbols, signs, uniform codes, and other aspects related to the armed forces. With all these changes, the duration for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will be 2 hours 44 minutes.
Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor. Other than Ajay Devgn, the biographical sports drama also stars Priyamani in an important role. It releases in theaters on 10th April. As for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, the film also stars Alaya F, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Manushi Chhillar other than Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this action-packed entertainer also releases on 10th April.
