There’s blood, there’s violence and there are nail-biting hand-to-hand combat sequences. The action-packed teaser for Kill, featuring debutant Lakshya Lalwani in the lead role, is finally here. The teaser was unveiled on Thursday by Dharma Productions and Lionsgate, and it opens with a disclaimer about the graphic violence to follow.

We see Lakshya‘s character, Amrit, travelling in the Rajdhani Express with Tanya Maniktala‘s character, when a group of armed men attacks them. We also get a glimpse of Raghav Juyal, who will be seen playing the antagonist. As Amrit is backed into a corner, he goes on a brutal rampage across the length of the moving train.

Kill has been generating a lot of buzz since its premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival. The teaser carries several positive blurbs from the reviews that it has garnered. Sharing the teaser on social media, producer Karan Johar wrote “One night. One train. One reason to…#KILL (sic).” The caption also reveals the film’s release date along with a warning note.  “July 5th, 2024. This film contains violent content which may be intense and disturbing for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised (sic),” it read.

The film’s synopsis on TIFF’s official website reads, “In Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s relentless martial arts thriller, a passenger train bound for New Delhi becomes a bloody battleground of brutal close-quarters combat as a pair of commandos square off against a 40-strong army of invading bandits.”
