Q- What is your idea of a dream home? 

Gauri Khan: A dream home is a sanctuary that seamlessly blends luxury with comfort, and elegance with functionality. It’s a reflection of personal style and values, curated with meticulous attention to detail. From sprawling living spaces that invite relaxation to intimate corners filled with cherished memories, every aspect is thoughtfully designed to nurture well-being and foster connection. Ultimately, a dream home transcends mere architecture; it’s a haven where one’s aspirations and desires find perfect expression.

Q- Tell us about your design philosophy

Gauri Khan: It’s about creating spaces that seamlessly blend style and functionality, reflecting the distinctive personalities and aspirations of those who dwell within. As someone deeply passionate about interior design and the concept of home, I believe that home design should be a reflection of one’s individuality, lifestyle, and aspirations. For me, a well-designed home goes beyond just aesthetics; it should evoke a sense of comfort, warmth, and functionality. I view home design as a form of self-expression, where each element – be it the choice of colors, furniture, lighting, or décor – tells a story and contributes to creating a unique atmosphere. It’s about curating spaces that not only look visually appealing but also resonate with the personality and values of the people who inhabit them.

Q- How do you describe your collaboration with Bonito Designs?

Gauri Khan: I have always been passionate about designing spaces, and to partner with a brand like Bonito Designs is perfect because it matches my enthusiasm for creating beautiful spaces for people to live, work, and enjoy. For the last year and a half, we have been working very closely to give the consumer a highly customised experience that is not only aesthetic but functional as well.

Q- Top 3 things to keep in mind when it comes to home interiors?

Gauri Khan: In today’s fast-paced world, I think it’s essential for homes to be havens of tranquility and rejuvenation. This means incorporating elements of nature, natural light, and open spaces wherever possible, to foster a sense of harmony and well-being. Moreover, I believe that home design should be adaptable and evolve with the changing needs of its occupants. Flexibility in layout and the integration of smart technologies can enhance the functionality and efficiency of a home, making it more conducive to modern living.
